Most trip plans live in eight browser tabs, two spreadsheets and a notes app nobody opens again. Pack Lightly is a trip planner that puts the whole job in one place: pick a country, set your dates, and get a day-by-day travel itinerary built from real places, matched to the season you actually travel in. No account needed to start.

PLAN YOUR ROUTE
Build a multi-week route in minutes. The planner works with real cities, sights and travel times, and it knows that northern Vietnam in August is not northern Vietnam in November. Drag stops into a new order, change the pace, add or drop places, and the itinerary recalculates around you. See the whole route on the map, day by day. Works for a two-week holiday, a backpacking trip through Southeast Asia or a long road trip.

PREP CHECKLIST WITH DEADLINES
A dated travel checklist counts down to departure: visa deadlines, vaccinations, bookings, travel insurance, driving permits. Each task lands in the week it needs to happen, not in one long list you scroll past once and forget. Add the dates to your own calendar with one tap.

PACKING LIST THAT FITS THE TRIP
Packing lists that match the climate, the length of the trip and what you are going there to do. Tick items off as you pack, add your own, and reuse the list next time.

TRAVEL JOURNAL AND TRACKER
On the road, the trip becomes a timeline: your route on the map, photos, voice memos and notes per day. At the end you get a recap of the trip to keep or share.

TRAVEL BUDGET AND EXPENSES
Log expenses as you spend and see where the budget went while you can still adjust. No spreadsheet afterwards.

OFFLINE COUNTRY GUIDES
Country guides are stored on your phone. Border crossings, SIM cards and eSIMs, local transport, money, safety and common scams: readable on the plane, on a night bus or in the mountains without a signal.

MEET OTHER TRAVELERS
Make a trip public if you want to, follow other travelers' routes, send a message, find a travel buddy, share a ride or join a meetup when your paths cross. Or keep everything private. Your call, per trip.

TRAVEL ASSISTANT
A built-in assistant helps with the planning work: reorder days, fill gaps, answer questions about your own route and destination. It works on your plan, it does not replace it.

YOUR TRAVEL MAP
Every country you visit colours in on your profile. Badges mark the milestones: first trip, five countries, three continents, a hundred journal days.

MADE TO BE COMFORTABLE
Light and dark mode, kilometres or miles, adjustable text size, and the app in English, Dutch, German, French and Spanish.

WHAT PACK LIGHTLY DOES NOT DO
Pack Lightly is free and shows no ads. Your behaviour is not tracked for advertisers and your data is not for sale. Export everything you have entered, or delete your account and all of it, directly in the app.
