For the most part, this app is very helpful if you need to care for your kidney. It displays phosphorus, potassium which other apps I've used don't. I really like the way it indicates " addrd" sugars separately which other apps don't. U like the way it allows you to chose favorite foods and keeps it in an alphabetical list ( after you've spent quite some time finding it) I wish it would allow you to set your own nutrient goal as for sugar. fat, carbs, and fiber. You can only adjust

Kidney Diet is the best app for tracking many micro nutrients (oxalate, calcium, phosphate, etc.) The database could use expanding, but it is adequate. You cannot change mesurment types, ie. table spoons rather than cup ect However you are able to change portions. While those are the more important issues, it would be nice to stop the warnings once you've seen them. I plan to continue using along side My Fittnes Pal for farther comparison.

Gina, thanks for the great review! To obtain the most comprehensive data from KidneyDiet and stop the warnings, please visit: https://kidneydiet.com/tips-for-best-usage/ (pay attention to #5) and https://kidneydiet.com/water-and-phosphorus-missing-from-ingredient-labels/.

Decent App. But, it's a hassle to add custom foods and data base is limited. The biggest drawback for me is the fact that I can't drill down on the day's totals and see what caused me to go over. There needs to be a way to click on a category for the day (like potassium for example) and list the amout of potassium in each food eaten.

Dear M, You can "drill down". Select the Diary tab on the bottom left corner. On the top right corner, there is a funnel which lets you sort by nutrient, showing items in order from highest to lowest for the selected nutrient. Please email us at info@kidneydiet.com as we would like to know which foods you are having trouble finding. Thanks!
