About this app

PassVault is a local-first password manager that protects your sensitive records in an encrypted vault on your device. It does not require a PassVault account, send your vault to a PassVault server, or provide cloud synchronization.

Keep your vault organized

• Save logins, secure notes, API keys, license keys, recovery codes, Wi-Fi details, identities, payment cards, and custom records.
• Group records in folders, apply tags, mark favorites, and search when you need something quickly.
• Generate strong passwords and review password health to find weak, reused, or older passwords.

Authenticator support

Store TOTP setup data with a login and generate time-based verification codes on your device. Enter a setup secret or URI manually, scan a QR code on supported mobile devices, or import a QR image on desktop. PassVault does not contact the account provider when it generates a code.

Protection that stays under your control

Your master password derives the key used to unlock the vault. Sensitive values are encrypted by PassVault with standard, independently reviewed cryptography. On supported Android and iOS devices, you may enable biometric unlock; the operating system protects the saved unlock material through Android Keystore or Apple Keychain. Biometrics are optional, and your master password remains the fallback.

Encrypted, portable backups

Export your vault to an encrypted `.pvault` file protected by a separate backup password, then import it when you choose. PassVault does not upload or transfer backups for you, so you decide where each file is stored or shared.

Designed for privacy

PassVault includes no advertising SDK, behavioral analytics, PassVault-operated telemetry, or automatic crash-report upload. The app has no application network service and requests only the platform permissions needed for features you choose, such as camera access for scanning a TOTP QR code and biometric access for unlocking.

Your vault is local. Your backups are deliberate. Your secrets remain under your control.
