About this app

Sanitas Coach is a medical app that helps you monitor your blood pressure and maintain a healthy lifestyle. With Sanitas Coach, you have a ‘digital coach’ at your side that helps you measure your blood pressure correctly and gives you personalised recommendations based on your readings and progress.

The app is based on medical guidelines for high blood pressure and is being further developed in collaboration with doctors at Hannover Medical School.

To use the Sanitas Coach app, you need your own blood pressure monitor (list of blood pressure monitors with a seal of approval for measurement accuracy: https://www.hochdruckliga.de/betroffene/blutdruckmessgeraete).

To register with Sanitas Coach, you will need your Sanitas health insurance number and your date of birth.

Interactive coaching and feedback
A key feature of the Sanitas Coach app is interactive coaching with the chatbot Liva. The digital chatbot helps you to document your blood pressure readings in a structured manner in line with guidelines, reminds you to take measurements and medication, and gives you specific recommendations on recommended measures.

Collaboration with your doctor
By documenting reliable blood pressure readings according to the recognised protocol, you provide your doctor with an important data basis for optimally adjusting your blood pressure and treating you. You can generate a report from the app at any time and share it with your doctor.

Goals for nutrition, exercise and relaxation
You will receive a health plan with individual goals and can automatically track your steps with Google Fit.

Exciting and reliable information
Answer quiz questions and complete exciting knowledge lessons and self-tests.

What's in the app:

Your interactive coach
Liva is a chatbot that accompanies you through your everyday life. She asks you questions in an interactive chat and tries to tailor your blood pressure monitoring to your needs. She motivates you to achieve your goals, guides you and gives you valuable information about your health.

Blood pressure monitoring
Liva helps you document your blood pressure readings and reminds you to take measurements. Based on your readings, Liva makes recommendations for you. You can export the diaries and charts as PDF files and send them at any time.

Medication
Liva provides weekly feedback on your medication reliability and works with you to develop strategies for taking your medication regularly (or more regularly).

Blood sugar diary
If you have type 2 diabetes, Liva helps you keep a diary of your blood sugar levels.

Sleep diary
Live helps you keep a sleep diary to learn more about your sleep. It also helps you get back to sleep as part of a sleep restriction programme.

Personal plan for a healthy lifestyle
You will receive your personal health plan with individual goals for nutrition, exercise and relaxation.

Exciting and reliable information
Tips and fun quizzes on blood pressure, blood sugar, correct measurement methods and sleep provide helpful information and empower you to manage your condition safely.

Who is behind the Sanitas Coach app?
The app is manufactured, operated and distributed by Pathmate Technologies. Sanitas Coach is the name of Pathmate Coach, a Class IIa medical device.
