Why do I only get one point no matter how many drinks I buy, that's pretty silly. Plus fifteen is a rather large number for a rewards program. I'm gonna be buying like thirty coffees before I get a free one. But it exists and does it's job as a reward program, just wish it was better.
Lacks NFC, which is easier to use than a QR code. Should be able to tie in with other payment apps such as PayPal, Google's, or any other. Obviously ported from iOS, instead of being built from the ground up. Hire an Android developer for crying out loud. Obviously I use it whenever I enter Peet's,
It's ok. I'll use it cause I go all the time, but it doesn't feel like a polished app at this stage. As some have the mentioned the death of your old card when digitally loading it, is a bit annoying just in case you did need to use the physical one for some reason. Otherwise, hope to see quick updates to get the app more in line with 2017 expectations
The app won't let me sign in on the HTC U11. It gave repeated error messages when I tried to sign up, and I didn't think it worked but somehow I received a welcome email anyway. [edit: After contacting customer service, the issues were sorted out.]
15 visits for a free coffee? The check-in process is awkward and arduous. This is like a loyalty app from 2009.
Pointless App. Yes, it too was excited for a Peet's Coffee app come to fruition. Unfortunately that excitement has fizzled and died. #1, the redundancy of having to scan the app just to "check in" and then scan the app again to pay for the transaction is probably the most ridiculous thing ever. If you are paying for your transaction with the app the system should just be able to automatically detect that you are literally physically standing in the store. #2, I always carried around a Peet's Coffee card because when I would reload it with $20 you would get $1 off of your beverage. Apparently that is not the case when you reload the app with $20. So then what if I just reload my Peet's Coffee card instead of the app with $20? That brings me to my next point which is #3, when you download the app and follow all the prompts and you have an existing Peet's card and you load it into the app, basically what happens is the physical Peet's card becomes deactivated and no longer able to be used. The app creates a new digital card which is totally different from your old physical card. So if for example you forgot your device or your device lost power you could not pay with your old physical card. I literally had to purchase a new Peet's card with $20 on it. #4, In the locations tab part of the app, it will tell you where other Peet's Coffee locations are somewhat around you. If you were to swipe the map to a different location such as some other state or area it doesn't show anything.
