About this app

Important: This app does not support the Clip, Card, or Tag (2nd Gen and newer). These devices must first be set up using Apple Find My or Google’s Find Hub for tracking. Then, download the new Pebblebee App to access firmware updates and extra features like Phone Finder. The Pebblebee network is no longer supported for these products.

Pebblebee Tracking is the app for managing and locating Pebblebee’s legacy devices, including Honey, Finder Classic, Finder 2.0, BlackCard, Found LTE, and first-generation Clip, Card, and Tag. Item ordered directly from Pebblbee but received from Amazon. I would not have ordered if they had been transparent about this as I prefer to not support Amazon. The app initially installed but forgot my settings, then would not detect my device when I tried to set it up again. This may have been due to my not allowing some of the more invasive background permissions, but location was set to active while using the app, so...? I can locate Pebblebee using the Google Find Hub.

Turns out you can reset Pebblebee devices and add them to another Google account without removing them from the original owner. Unlike AirTags and Tile devices, this means if you lose something they are attached to, someone can just reset it. Really??? Also the device repeatedly has issues where it doesn't connect at all, keeps playing the sound after clicking stop, or restarts the sound after pressing on the physical device. also wouldn't reconnect after running out of charge, had to reset it.

OK, after more the 30 attempts, it finally connected to my phone. That lasted 2 days and after the app update that just occurred, it won't connect again. This is ridiculous and a waste of time and money. It's going back to Costco this weekend. And, just to note, I was in regular contact with customer service and absolutely nothing was resolved.
