Four words. One grid. Every letter you place changes two answers at once.

Foreword is a daily word puzzle game built on a 4x4 grid where the words
interlock. Two rows and two columns share their corner letters, so solving one word rewrites what you know about the next. It is a word game that rewards deduction, not just vocabulary.

HOW IT WORKS

Each puzzle hides four 4-letter words arranged in a ring. Pick a lane, spell a
word, and read the colours:

• Green - right letter, right place. Locked in.
• Orange - the letter is in this word, but in the wrong spot.
• Purple - the letter belongs to a different lane in the grid.
• Dark - the letter is nowhere in the puzzle.

Purple is the twist. A wrong guess in one lane is still a clue for another, so
no guess is ever wasted. You have 13 Sparks - guesses shared across all four words - to clear the grid.

FOUR CHARMS WHEN YOU'RE STUCK

Charms sit under the grid, and you choose which one to spend:

• Ward - clears the four tiles no word passes through. Once a level.
• Wick - hands you an extra Spark. Once a level.
• Scry - shows four words for your lane. One of them is the answer. Once per word.
• Gild - turns one hidden letter of your lane green. Once per word.

You get four of each every day, topped back up at midnight. Charms are
there to help. Using one is always your choice.

A NEW PUZZLE EVERY DAY

Sixteen fresh puzzles every day. No repeats and no filler. Your first day is
unlimited. After that, Wisdom Potions refill at midnight and again through the day, so every puzzle stays within reach. Come back daily to keep your streak alive.

CLIMB FOUR RANKS

Start unranked and work your way up through Obsidian, Amber, Amethyst and Emerald. Each rank takes four gem shards to fill. Lose a puzzle and you give ground back, so the ladder means something.

BUILD COMBOS AND STREAKS

Solve two or three lanes with a single word for a 2x or 3x combo. Win four in a row to start a streak, and track your best runs, your week of solves and your combo milestones on your profile.

EARN GOLD

Every word you solve pays gold, and your best combo in a winning round pays a bonus on top. Each rank raises the rate, up to three times as much at Emerald. Save up to spend it on a new player name.

Foreword is free. There are no forced ads and nothing interrupts a puzzle
mid-solve. Rewarded videos are always optional - watch one for extra charms, four extra potions or a new player name when you're short on gold, or wait for the free refill and never watch a single one. There are no in-app purchases.
