About this app

A simple check-in helps make sure someone can step in for your pets if you can't.

If you are hurt, unwell, or simply cannot get home, the people who care about you may not find out for hours. Your pets are waiting the whole time. Woof exists for that gap.

HOW IT WORKS

Woof asks you to check in on a schedule you choose. Check in, and nothing happens. Miss one, and Woof starts trying to reach you. If you still have not answered, Woof contacts your Safety Network — the people you nominated, in the order you chose, with what they need to know to get to your pets.

You decide the schedule, the people, and the order. The countdown lives on Woof's servers rather than on your phone, so it keeps running if your phone is off, lost, or out of battery.

Woof never contacts emergency services on its own, and never requests a wellness check on its own. Reaching the people you chose is what the app does. Anything beyond that is a decision a person makes, never software.

Very buggy. I'm paying the $4.99 a month and sometimes question why I still am. It often doesn't realize I've left, or it doesn't recognize when I return home, I get multiple calls a day from woof support resulting in an "error" message. I hope it gets fixed soon or I'll be cancelling. I want to love this app as I think it's a great idea, but there's lots of bugs to work out.

Thought this app was a great idea. Website said there is a 7 day free trial when downloaded, but no such trial exists. I thought, fine, I'll just purchase a subscription for $30. It sent an activation code, but when entering this in the app, it says "something went wrong" and won't activate. Emailed support, but no reply from them, so I'm out $30 and have an app that doesn't work. If they can't reply to even activate the app, I doubt they will contact people as the app is supposed to...

This is such a great idea for pet parents. The developer apparently has had problems implementing some of the basic functions of the app. I'm patiently waiting to see if they get fixed so I can resubscribe. The developer stopped responding to my messages and I'm giving it a break to give them a chance to make it stable, fully operational, and reliable. I'm keeping a close eye on this one!
