PhotoCopy is a robust image/video backup application designed primarily to use the SMB protocol to perform backups as seamlessly as possible.
PhotoCopy was built for personal use originally, to overcome limitations that other applications had - primarily, not performing post-transfer validations and just assuming the upload worked properly.
PhotoCopy not only allows you full control of what you back up, but also *how*. Adjust your validation method - ranging from a full "redownload and verify" to a simple "check metadata" - or turn off the validation. The choice is yours.

As more users move from cloud hosting to self hosting, image backups are becoming more and more important to many people, and we want you to feel confident that the data on your SMB is the data you sent - not corrupted, not failed, and especially not silently accepting of problems.

- Code refactor to reduce some duplicate scans and transfer attempts, streamlining the application
- Numerous fixes to background syncing
- Numerous bugfixes/crashes resolved
Note that background syncing may take up to 30 minutes after "trigger" to start (IE: When phone is plugged in). This is due to some improvements to prevent syncing hitting a 6 hour daily limit in the background.
