After years of using Trailforks the app is now very glitchy and barely functioning anymore. While recording elapsed time and distance will just freeze and do nothing. Then halfway through riding it stopped tracking my location when the phone wasn't unlocked. Now my log is just a bunch of straight lines between random points. Definitely won't be subscribing again if the basics don't even work.... Update: reinstalled app fresh. Can't even download a map region, errors every time. 100% unusable.

I gave the free trial and honest go and I will not be not subscribing. The app tries to be too much. The interface is clunky and confusing with too many options that no one really uses. It tells you about 'upcoming events' in Vietnam when you are in the US. Even the core functions, like the ride log, are unnecessarily complicated. Update: now that my trial is expired I'm limited to one set of trails. Considering it's all user contrib that's unacceptable. I've uninstalled.

The app has been good for exploring riding options in unfamiliar places. Sad to say it is time to move on. I understand the need to pay for development of apps, but the subscription model with automated renewal payments is a non-starter and a red-flag. Fees can change anytime without notice. Automatic renewal is at higher fee with no way to get a refund and no obvious way to cancel. I am not saying TF does this, but a risk. I'd pay $5 for 1 month of access without automated renewal.
