What a marked decline in function and a massive price increase. Take information from people that contributed when it was free, then turn around and charge them 60 dollars for it? It's a really clunky app with way too many features. I'll stick to the poor version. Outside magazine always was terrible, but this is a new low.

Update: Added a star because they made the free version more usable for us "poors". Thanks for that :) Still $60 a year is insane for an app. Also MTB Project is better for navigating on trail. Wish there was a cheaper option. They received all the trail data from users for free, now charging way too much for it, maybe if there was a $5 option for when I only need it for a week or two while on a mtb vacation

Sorry to hear you're unsatisfied with the need for Trailforks to introduce a Pro subscription to access the full app experience. This blog post answers some of the criticism around the Pro option, data access & user contributed content

The mobile version is not as comprehensive as the desktop version. I've enjoyed using trail forks for the past 2 years, but the price increase scheduled for July is making me rethink my options. I suggest maybe three price levels free, low and full. I enjoy the community aspects of sharing photos and videos to preview trails and see reviews and conditions. It's been super helpful. The trails have been generally accurate and I found great places through the app.
