PlacesXP helps you find tourist hidden gems wherever they are, whether it’s at home or traveling, while making a game out of it! Using it you’ll find where to go, plan your trip, and collect the places you’ve been. It’s great for when you travel and just as awesome for finding what to do on the weekend with the kids.
Attractions on PlacesXP are split into Sets, which you can collect to receive badges. Sets are a ton of fun to collect. If you’re going to London, for example, try and collect the upcoming “London Essentials” set, because if you haven’t gotten the essentials, have you really been to London? We will soon have many sets to collect, from Theme Parks to Nature Trails.
When entering the App, you start your journey with a glorious view of the world, marking the countries and cities you’ve visited. Take a moment to appreciate your achievement and imagine your future goals. Zoom in, or tap your location to start searching for where to go next.
The superpower of PlacesXP is showing you the attractions. For the entire planet. We’re not just a top 10 places to go website (what if you visit the same place twice?). You can browse an area on your own and add places to your wishlist, or fully plan your trip with dates, times, travel order, and lunch breaks.
On your profile you will see your timeline. That’s everywhere you’ve been and all the badges you’ve earned going back in time.
PlacesXP is fully free and will not cost you a thing to use. There are no in-app purchases, no ads, and none of your personal information is sold. In fact, we try to keep as little of your information as possible, keeping only an email for login purposes (which is never shared) and grabbing your location when you use the map feature. Feel free to choose any name you want (it doesn’t have to be your real name).
It’s early days for us, so expect a few bugs and slow loads. In the near future, we will be adding all sorts of fun features like local events, adding images to the places you’ve been, sharing with friends, and more. It’s fun, it's free, and it’s safe. What more can you ask for?
