About this app

Every child has something to say. Talking Cards helps them say it.

Tap a picture and the word is spoken aloud, clearly and warmly. Tap card after card and the board builds a real sentence, then speaks the whole thing. It is a gentle talking picture board — AAC — for children who find words hard, and it is made to be used alongside a child's own talking, never instead of it.

Made by a dad whose own child struggled to speak.

THE BOARD
• 1,673 picture words across 68 everyday categories: food, feelings, family, places and play
• Tap cards to build sentences, with the grammar sorted out for them
• The board offers the words that usually come next
• Every word is narrated in a warm, natural voice
• Big, clear cards, with adjustable card size and speaking speed
• An emergency board, always one tap away, for the words that cannot wait

FIVE LANGUAGES, ONE TAP
• English, Arabic, Spanish, French and Turkish
• The pictures stay where they are when the language changes, so a child never has to learn where their words live all over again
• A bilingual mode for families raising two languages

FAMILY VOICES
• Record your own voice for a card, so a child can hear mum, dad or grandma say the word
• Those recordings never leave the device

STORIES, GAMES AND PRACTICE
• 72 illustrated storybooks, written natively in all five languages — tap any word to hear it
• Twelve calm games: spelling, matching, sorting, counting, put-in-order, listening, a sing-along piano, and one that plays a child's own voice back
• Errorless by design — a wrong tap is never marked wrong, and the round simply carries on
• "Say it with me" practice that waits, and never rushes a child
• An alphabet you can hear

LET'S TALK
• A buddy asks about your child's day and they answer by tapping cards — about food, feelings, school, who helps them, what they want to do now
• Four little stories the child steers: the park, bedtime, a picnic, and a lost teddy
• A counting round built from the child's own cards, and a letter round for spelling
• A wrong answer is coached, never scored — the buddy counts along and asks again
• Written in each language, not translated: an Arabic child is offered dates, a Turkish child a simit

FOR GROWN-UPS
• A quick check keeps little hands out of the settings, with an optional PIN
• Add photo cards of your own: a favourite cup, a toy, a person
• Hide cards, pin favourites, and print a paper board for days out
• First–Then routines to picture the day
• Back everything up to a file and restore it on a new device

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• The board works fully offline. No account, no sign-in
• No ads. No tracking. No usage analytics. No profile of your child
• Photos and recordings stay on the device and are never uploaded
• The internet is used only to complete a purchase or redeem a code

FREE AND FULL
Free to use with 194 core picture words, the emergency board and Family Voices. A one-time unlock opens the full vocabulary, the 72 storybooks, the twelve games, your own photo cards and routines. A grown-up can also open everything for a free week — three weeks in all — and for a short preview every day.

Made with love, for the children who are still finding their words.

Great idea and my kid really likes the app. Simple and useful. My only issue is that some cards images are a little to small, and sometimes I have to explain what the picture means. Bigger cards would make it even better.

Really nice app for teaching your kid a language with pictures and spoken words. One thing that needs fixing is that I could not open the settings.

What’s new

Let's Talk now speaks every language. Arabic, Spanish, French and Turkish each have their own conversations — twelve everyday chats, four little stories the child steers, and a counting round built from their own cards. Written in each language, not translated.

Also new: a free week to try everything (three of them), bigger pictures in the games on tablets, and counting by pointing — tap each picture and it takes the next number.
