About this app

BPM Counter is a tap tempo tool and visual metronome for musicians, DJs, drummers and producers. Tap along with any song and read the beats per minute straight away — no gear, no account, no internet.

HOW THE BPM TAPPER WORKS
Tap the big pad in time with the beat. The tempo counter averages your most recent taps, so the number settles instead of jumping around. A confidence meter tells you when the reading has locked in and the BPM you see can be trusted.

• Large, responsive tap pad with neon beat feedback
• Live BPM readout while you tap
• Rolling average over your last taps for a stable tempo
• Confidence meter — low, medium, locked
• Tap counter and one-touch reset
• Round to the nearest whole BPM

VISUAL PULSE AND METRONOME
Turn the tempo you just found into a pulsing beat you can follow. The on-beat flash stays readable on a dark, noisy stage where a click track gets lost. Start and stop instantly, and nudge the BPM up or down to fine-tune a groove.

CLASSICAL TEMPO MARKINGS
The reading sits on the familiar scale every musician already knows: Largo around 40-60, Adagio 66-76, Andante 76-108, Moderato 108-120, Allegro 120-168, Presto above 168. Handy when a score says Andante and you need to know what that means on the click.

WHO USES IT
DJs matching decks and planning transitions • guitarists setting a delay pedal by ear • drummers checking a practice tempo • producers who need the BPM of a sample before it goes into the DAW • choir and band leaders counting in • anyone transcribing a song and wanting to know how fast it really goes • anyone needing a quick tempo finder before a rehearsal or recording session

BUILT FOR STAGE AND STUDIO
• Works fully offline — everything runs on your device
• Fast, focused interface with no clutter
• No sign-up and no data collected

BEATS PER MINUTE CALCULATOR FOR EVERY GENRE
A song at 128 BPM is the standard house tempo. Techno runs 130-150. Hip-hop peaks around 90-100. Drum and bass sits at 160-180. Knowing where your track lands against those reference points — before you play it in a set or load it into a DAW — is what the BPM counter is for.

TEMPO FINDER WITHOUT AN APP THAT OVERTHINKS IT
Some tap tempo apps add setlists, microphone detection, audio fingerprinting. This one does the part that matters: you tap, it reads. The beats per minute counter is the whole app. No setup, no account, no analysis of your microphone. If you want a BPM detector that listens rather than taps, this is not that — this is a tapper, fast, clean and precise.

HOW MUSICIANS USE A BPM TAPPER
Figuring out the tempo of a vinyl record before you sample it. Setting a delay pedal to sync with a song. Transcribing the tempo of a piece you are learning by ear. Choosing a click track before a recording session. Confirming that two loops are actually at the same tempo before layering them.

Tap. Read. Lock the tempo.

METRONOME BPM REFERENCE — TEMPO TERMS TO NUMBERS

Largo: 40–60 BPM. Andante: 76–108. Allegro: 120–156. Presto: 168–200. If a score says Allegro and you want to know the click track, tap along to a reference recording and read the BPM. The tap tempo counter gives you the precise number so you can set your metronome or DAW transport to match the original performance.
Tap to find BPM, tempo & beat speed. Musician tool. Offline.
