8I must say this is a lot easier to set up then the old TCS setup however I must say their are a lot of issues that completely wipe the innings I have been scoring. I was about 42 overs in and I clicked for a dot ball and it frozen and completely wiped the innings which gave me a hard time due to the app then not loading up and working so I had to revert to scoring in the old fashioned book. Also i cannot see what the run rate is on my tablet. I have some suggestions which I believe may already be on the way but here we go; ●Wagon wheels, run rate charts etc ●Timings for the batsmen. ●Timings of the innings ●Ability to add players into the team as sub players instead of just the player popping up as normal ●add the weather, type of pitch etc ●what end the bowler is bowling from and add grounds ●improved graphics ,text graphics ●ability to add notes and general comments to the game/innings ●and a few minor bugs and glitches which need to be fixed
Improved and easier to use.
Typical low budget rushed IT which has clearly not been tested at the scale required for Saturday cricket across the country. As a user of TCS this is a massive leap backwards - we couldn't even log in. Also an issue of lack of control over sync to play cricket - it wiped a scorecard entered by the other team today. If you want us to use this, please sort it out quickly! Edit 7/5/17 Recent fixes have resulted in huge improvements and is now a useable app. It could still look nicer with better fonts and when play cricket live arrives this could work really well. Edit for version 3. So great that we can now enter a manual score for an innings, but why not a whole scorecard with batting and bowling details. There are loads of clubs up and down the country that score their own batting innings, and copy the book of the opposition for the bowling innings. Given that the use of this app remains sporadic, there is still a need to enter a whole scorecard which still isn't met by the update. On the plus side the fonts are better, but is still 6/10 for me.
Completely pointless without Internet connection. My tablet only has WiFi access and this is hardly ever available when scoring. I cannot download matches (I attempt to, then nothing happens when I view downloaded matches when opening the app off line and bypassing the oven screen - which only works when connected to the Internet.) Needs to be fixed so can use while offline.
This massively lacking on detail and is not as good as other apps available at a small cost. The ability to downlad the game so it can be scored off line is great. Don't like the fact that the opposition can block you out of scoring on the app if you don't score right from the beginning. There is shockingly little detail you can pull from the app. It also doesn't show first full name so if you have John and Joe Smith there is no way of distinguishing them from one another Even Worse if they are both Bowlers or batting at the same time. Other apps you can have a printout showing run chase in a line graph ball by ball detail of each over and each batsman it will detail the mins the bats have been facing for. It is an ok app just wished play cricket had just got its programming to support other more detailed apps.
