For about a month I was trying to figure out why my router settings to keep the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands separate kept resetting. Checked the logs, nothing obvious. Turns out, anyone even opens this app on your home network, it resets those settings. Confirmed by Bell tech support. Don't even have to log in, which is a security issue. Nobody should be able to change ANYTHING without logging in. Also, when this happens, nothing is logged in the system logs on the router. Another gap. Disgraceful.

If you don't want to use any “features” it is fine. Unintuitive, awkward, cumbersome, frustrating are what this app is. Setting up parental control features was beyond frustrating. I strongly suggest you send someone to see what Rogers is doing and try to copy it for a web portal management tool, otherwise just return the same functionality that the homehome 3000 had. If I didn't like the consistency of the internet connection for work, I would have canceled and stayed with Rogers.

Forces you to have a single SSID. In an era where network security means insulating subnetworks, Bell app doesn't work unless you put all the eggs in a single basket. Easy to manage by uneducated users, easy to hack. Edit: the modem may be duo band, but the app doesn't have all the functions of the web interface. The rating is for this app, not the modem.

What's new

You can now pause multiple users or devices all at once and select the pause length in 10-minute increments. Tap on the modem icon on the home screen to access this new functionality.

Order Wi-Fi pods with your MyBell account.

The app is now available to Wireless Home Internet clients.
