PosterBox turns your Smart TV into a dedicated digital movie poster display, designed for TVs mounted in portrait orientation. It's the perfect solution for movie lovers who want to recreate an authentic theater experience using a vertical screen as a cinematic poster showcase.

Built for Android TV OS devices, PosterBox uses seamless Google Play account authentication, allowing you to start using the app immediately without creating a separate account. Once launched, the app displays high-quality movie posters in a clean, full-screen layout optimized for vertical viewing. Posters rotate automatically, creating a continuous and immersive display similar to a digital movie theater lobby.

PosterBox is fully automated. Poster artwork is curated, updated, and maintained automatically, ensuring your display stays fresh without any manual updates or content management. You can select movie rating limits and choose which types of posters are shown, allowing the experience to be customized for personal preferences, family environments, or themed setups.

Media Player Integrations (Premium)

PosterBox integrates directly with your media setup. When you start a movie, PosterBox automatically switches to that movie's poster and displays a Theater Info Panel with director, cast, genre, rating, and live remaining runtime. The marquee banner automatically switches to an animated Now Playing GIF during playback and an Intermission GIF when paused. Supported integrations include:

- Plex — connects via direct polling using your server IP and token
- Jellyfin & Emby — connects via your server IP and API key
- Kaleidescape — connects directly over your local network, pulling rich metadata from your player
- Zidoo — connects via your media player's local IP address
- Kodi — connects via Kodi's built-in JSON-RPC API; no extra plugins or setup required on the Kodi side
