About this app

The HydroHome app gives BC Hydro customers tools and insights to track, understand and manage their home’s electricity use anywhere, anytime.

Features of the free app:
- Your whole home’s hourly energy use data up to the previous day.
- A breakdown of how your home uses energy.
- Insights and tips to help you save.
- Custom notifications based on your budget.

If you purchase a hub (optional) through the app, additional features are available:
- Real-time data that shows how much electricity your home’s using right now.
- Connect compatible smart home devices to see device-specific energy use.
- Control compatible smart home devices (lights, thermostats, plugs, etc.) all in one app.

With greater knowledge of your home’s energy use, you can take actions to save energy and money.

The HydroHome app is available to most BC Hydro residential customers. Hubs aren’t available to customers in apartment buildings due to limitations with the wireless technology.

Doesn't onboard onto the app properly with info about my home - keeps asking over and over. Once I somehow get by that by killing the app, it asks me to buy a device, which I already have. When I find out how to tell it I already have a device, it says "okay" then asks me to buy a device again. This app is straight up defective and better be a hobby project from a university student that was abandoned 4 years ago. Edit: I shouldn't have to phone somebody for support.

the connectivity and pairing of this is a nightmare. I was doing some changes to my media closet with wiring and now I cannot pair the powerly hub at all. ive tried resetting numerous times but it won't do anything when I tap my phone to pair.

Hi, Karanvir. In the next release, which has been submitted to the Play Store, this issue has been resolved (should be available in 24-48 hrs). The workaround is to go to settings and delete the app's data under storage. Then reload the app and you will be able to log in. Thank you for your patience, HydroHome Support Team

okay when it works, but hasn't worked for quite a while. update: I have now been contacted by BC hydro many times and each time they say we think we fixed it. check it and they have never fixed it. this app is really useless, which is a shame because I think it could be a very valuable tool.
