About this app

Power Probe turns any old Android phone into a 24/7 power supply monitor.

How does it work?
Leave your phone plugged in wherever you want to monitor it (summer house, home server, business premises, etc.). When there's a power outage, the charger stops powering the device, and Power Probe detects it instantly. It also detects when power is restored. In both cases, it sends an automatic SMS to the numbers you've configured.

✔ No internet, no cloud, no account — works only with the mobile network
✔ Instant SMS alerts to multiple recipients
✔ Customizable device name in each message
✔ Local event history with date filtering
✔ Starts automatically when the phone is turned on
✔ Stable background service (not terminated by the system)
✔ No ads, no tracking, no data sharing with third parties

Typical use cases:
- Monitor the power supply to a second home
- Protect sensitive equipment (NAS, servers, aquariums, refrigerators)
- Monitor remote installations without an internet connection

All data (history, phone numbers, settings) is stored exclusively on the device. Power Probe requires no account, does not use the internet, and does not share any data with third parties.

Requirements: Android 8.0 or higher. A SIM card with credit or an active SMS plan is required to send alerts.

The app sends SMS messages to notify configured users about power outages and restorations. This is the main functionality of the application.
