About this app

FAAST helps, whether you are a physio or a team coach, amateur or professional. If you want to reduce
the chance of getting a knee injury, or help injured players through knee injury rehab, FAAST is the tool
you need. Download the app to identify players’ susceptibility to knee injury and track recovery if one of
your players does get injured.
The FAAST application enables real-time motion analysis, and uses the Landing Error Scoring System
(LESS) to give instant feedback with just a smartphone (no cumbersome wires, trackers or expensive
sensors are needed). Scores allow you to manage, monitor and improve players’ technique; avoid injury;
and compete and compare them against friends and teammates.
Simply
Select a routine (Jump or Squat)
Record your performance

You love sport. But whether a physio or a coach you know that correct technique is vital, even more so
as your team take to the field. Bad technique increases the likelihood that someone will get injured. So
you probably already assess players technique. FAAST makes the assessment process immediate and
simple resulting in a much more effective way to make assessments for your club teams and all the
players on them – even the junior teams.
FAAST allows you to instantly measure just how good your players’ technique is, whenever, wherever
and as often as you train, immediately shows players issues you identify and gives them a quantifiable
programme to improve.
If they do get injured you can monitor their rehab progress over time over time, noting and recording
improvements through the timeline feature and encouraging them to get back playing safely as soon as
possible.
Overall FAAST helps you enjoy your assessment work by showing players’ their problems, risks and
progress, and lets you network with professional colleagues to ensure you reduce players’ risk of injury
through bad technique.
In the initial version of the App the focus is on knee injury; one of the most common and most
debilitating for sportsmen and women. You can assess players using eight routines (jumps and squats).
Scores, using the LESS methodology, are based on measurement of key aspects of each routine as
determined by coaching experts. These measurements are converted to scores and can allow for
different levels of experience and ability as well as age and gender.

You can invite other coaches and physios to join you and compare scores anonymously with the entire
universe of players in the App. You can monitor your players’ progress in each exercise through a
timeline record of your scores and activity.
