Prepare Pokhara app is the answer to these questions and more. By making geospatial information of critical infrastructure easy to access and update you can play an integral part in not only keeping yourself safe but also your neighbours.
Secondary Cities is a field-based initiative of the Office of the Geographer at the U.S. Department of State and Kathmandu Living Labs is the local partner of this project. This application is the output of more than a year's worth of intense geospatial data collection. Further, data has been ground-truthed, validated and verified at various levels to ensure accuracy for the citizens of Pokhara in order to respond and react to any disaster. With details about all hospitals, banks and schools of the city, people can also use this app to make informed decision about where to go and how to get there during their day to day activities.
