About this app

Private.Ki is email and chat that only you and the person you write to can read. Not us, not your network, not anyone in between. Messages are encrypted on your phone before they leave it, and the key that opens them never leaves your device in readable form.

ENCRYPTED END TO END
Every email, every attachment and every chat line is encrypted with OpenPGP, the open standard for encrypted email. Your key pair is created on your device. We store only what we cannot read.

A REAL EMAIL ADDRESS
Your address is [e-mail] and it works with the whole world. To another Private.Ki user, or to anyone whose public key you have, your message goes out encrypted and signed. To everyone else it is ordinary email, so you can write to any address. Threads, folders, archive, search, attachments up to 25 MB, and an undo window after you press Send.

CHAT WITH THE SAME KEY
Message the people you already write to, encrypted the same way. Photos and videos, voice notes, stickers, reactions, one-to-one and group conversations. Turn on self-destruct so messages disappear after a set time, or send a photo that can be viewed once.

SECURE NOTES
Notes only you can open, stored with the same encryption as your mail.

LOCK THE APP
Lock Private.Ki with your fingerprint or face, and hide its content from the Recents screen. Your mailbox key stays encrypted until you unlock.

SIGN IN WITHOUT SENDING YOUR PASSWORD
Private.Ki uses OPAQUE, a zero-knowledge protocol. Your password is never sent to our servers, not even in encrypted form. Add two-step verification with an authenticator app, and a recovery email in case you forget your password.

NO ADS. NO TRACKING.
No advertising, no analytics, no profiling and no data to sell. We cannot read your messages, so we cannot mine them.
