BookMingle helps you borrow and lend physical books with people nearby and build a shared library with your reading circle. Discover what neighbours are sharing, give finished books another reader, or bring your book club’s shelves together in one place.

Borrow and lend locally
Browse books available to borrow or keep in your neighbourhood. Search by title, author or genre, message the owner and arrange a convenient exchange.

Create a shared group library
See what your friends, family, colleagues or book club members have on their shelves. Create a public or private book group where members can browse and share books from one collection.

Invite your circle with a group code or discover public groups nearby. A shared library makes it easier to find a book someone you know already owns.

Choose who you share with
List a book to lend or give away, then share it publicly or within your group. Keep your book details editable and show other readers what you’re offering.

Enter the details yourself or scan an ISBN barcode to look them up. Choose an available catalogue cover or upload your own photo. We recommend a photo of your actual copy so others can see its condition, including any wear, notes or damage.

Keep your lending organised
Check which books you’ve lent, who has them and when they’re due back. Send return reminders and keep track of the books making their way between readers.

Keep the conversation together
Use group chat to discuss your latest read, exchange recommendations and plan what to read next. Message readers directly to arrange collection and returns.
