Your insurer has to write to you before your policy renews. The DVSA texts you before your MOT is due. Nobody writes to you about your passport.

Renewly is for those renewals — the ones with no company, no agency and no letter behind them. Passports, visas, professional certificates, warranties, the fixed rate on your mortgage. The ones you only remember when it is already a problem.

Pick a category. The timings are already set.
• Eleven categories, each with sensible lead times and renewal cycles built in
• Passport, driving licence, visa or permit, insurance, vehicle test, warranty, subscription, professional certificate, lease or rental, pet vaccination, and anything else you want to add
• Choose "Passport" and you are done — no working out how far ahead to be warned
• Change any of it if you disagree. Your lead time is never overwritten once you have set it

• One at your lead time, so there is still time to act
• One on the morning of the day itself, so it cannot slip past
• Both at times you choose, not times we chose
• They survive a reboot, an app update, a timezone change and a clock change
• They work with no internet connection

Keep the document with the date
• Attach a photo of the passport page, the certificate, the warranty card
• It is stored in the app's own private storage on your phone
• There is no account and no server, so it has nowhere else to go

Renewly records dates you tell it and counts the days to them. It does not tell you whether a document is valid, whether you are covered, or whether you may travel — those are matters for the issuer, the insurer or the government, and they change without notice. Always check with them.
