WHY DELETE ISN’T ENOUGH
On Android, tapping “delete” often removes only file references. The underlying data blocks may remain on storage and can sometimes be found later. Even a basic factory reset may leave traces of old content behind. iShredder overwrites empty space and selected storage areas multiple times, helping reduce residual data rather than simply hiding it.

MILITARY-GRADE, CERTIFIED ERASURE
iShredder supports trusted erase methods such as DoD 5220.22-M, NIST SP 800-88, BSI TL-03423 and other internationally recognized standards. These methods overwrite data with carefully defined patterns, making recovery extremely difficult.

Ratings and reviews

I have bought the lifetime upgrade to the highest level, I don't remember if it is military or professional. regardless, it will randomly tell me that I need to pay to upgrade. I would uninstall the app, and reinstall it, and it would have everything unlocked the way it is supposed to since I paid. however, it always immediately has a 1.1 MB update available, and if I do it, it deregisters the app. after uninstalling and reinstalling 10+ times, I realize if I Skip updating it, it will work

This works well, but there are more negatives than positives. I love 25 different ways to shred your files! Unfortunately only 5 are free, the rest u have to pay. Oftentimes u don't know which is which until u click on it and it tells u "upgrade required" to use that feature. Always choose FILE EXPLORER to pick files to shred, then go to INTERNAL STORAGE or SD CARD, then PICTURES (or whatever), & pick the ones starting w/ "trashed" in the name. Those are your deleted files. Too complicated!

It appears to clean files, caches, free space, or what items you select. It gives detailed reports. It appears to work well. The free version prompted me that I could only wipe a set amount of data per day. Though it doesn't restrict the amounts of free space you can wipe. That was a surprise. I wish it had an ability to examine some of the wiped areas for reassurance that it's doing the job. But with that, the app seems to work well. Thank you for the app iShredder!! I read some of the other reviews: The app freezes up? Sometimes the percentage completed stays at zero and elapsed timer is working. Chill! It will finish and give you a report! The photos you deleted only to find the photos still present? Those digger apps will find thumbnails in various clipboards and image caches. The error is likely your oversight. Look at the file size. Do some research!!
