DNS Changer by Protectstar puts your Android DNS settings within easy reach. Choose a DNS server for Wi-Fi or mobile data, try an alternative when websites are slow to open, and use providers with ad blocking, security or family filters. No root access, router changes or complicated setup.

Your DNS server, your choice
DNS helps your phone find the addresses of websites and online services. A responsive DNS server can reduce lookup delays and help pages start loading sooner when your current resolver is slow. Choose from providers such as Cloudflare, Google Public DNS, AdGuard DNS, Quad9 and CleanBrowsing, or enter custom IPv4 and IPv6 DNS addresses.

Connect or disconnect with one tap and check the connection status in the app. Use DNS Changer on your Android phone or tablet, at home, at work or on mobile data, including 4G and 5G. You control which provider handles the DNS requests routed through the app.

Ad blocking, security and family filters
Want fewer distractions while browsing? Select a DNS provider that blocks advertising and tracking domains. A security-focused DNS service can also help block known phishing and malicious domains before a connection is made. Family DNS filters can help restrict adult content and other unsuitable categories.

Filtering is provided by the DNS service you select, and not every provider offers every filter. DNS ad blocking cannot remove every ad. Family filtering is an additional layer, not a replacement for parental controls.

There is no single fastest DNS for every network: location, provider and network conditions affect results. Changing DNS does not increase your internet plan's bandwidth or guarantee lower in-game ping.

Start in a few simple steps
Open DNS Changer, choose a provider and confirm Android's VPN connection request. Connect, then try the websites and apps you normally use. If a filter blocks a service you need, try a different DNS provider or disconnect to return to your usual DNS configuration.

Local VPN interface, not a remote VPN service
DNS Changer uses Android VpnService to create a local VPN interface for DNS management. It does not route your traffic through remote VPN servers or change your public IP address. Another VPN app generally cannot run at the same time. The DNS provider you choose applies its own filtering and privacy policies.

Ratings and reviews

If you're looking for something to block ads for the youtube app then this won't work, but it will work for everything else. If you use apps that use ads for rewards like webtoon then I'd suggest getting premium and turning off the changer for that specific app. If you turn on/off this while in the app you want to block/unblock ads on but it doesn't work then just close and reopen that app, it'll work then. To note: I use server AdGuard DNS.

App keeps closing by itself.. I have paid for a month and it keeps on closing itself even after I updated it. I have sent an email to support and have got no reply. The other problem is "when it used to work" is that it keeps getting disabled after I clear my screen. And at the moment it keeps crashing and closing everytime I open it. Don't you test your apps? What do I do now? I have already emailed you.

Out of all the DNS Changers on here. This one is only one that I've tried that solved my lag issue. I don't know how but this one solved my lagg issue latency issue. I switched too Google Dns. My lagging is gone. More responsive. Quick. Great job developer. You're the best.😊👍👍 Just created a backup file to this version. That's how good it is.
