This does have ads, but it's way fewer ads than normal YouTube. It will have an ad when opening the app, which will only happen that 1 time. Next time you open the app, an ad won't pop up. At the beginning of a video, 1 ad will play. After the next 5 videos, another ad will play at the beginning of a video. the ads are only 5 seconds long. You have to turn on 1440p & 4K in the settings. It will also autoplay to the next video & there's no setting to turn that off. Edit: App got worse.

It said "No ads" but before I even watched a single piece of content I got shown 2 ADS. one at the start and one before watching the video. A few months later I tried it again and ONCE AGAIN too many ads. Second worst app I've ever downloaded!

can't sign in to youtube like the ios version. so my Playlist i wantto access it can't. really slow start up. I have to close it twice to get it off the load screen
