This does have ads, but it's way fewer ads than normal YouTube. It will have an ad when opening the app, which will only happen that 1 time. Next time you open the app, an ad won't pop up. At the beginning of a video, 1 ad will play. After the next 5 videos, another ad will play at the beginning of a video. the ads are only 5 seconds long. You have to turn on 1440p & 4K in the settings. It will also autoplay to the next video & there's no setting to turn that off. Edit: App got worse.

Just want to inform everyone this app is actively sending me phishing links. it sent me a notification to open a link after downloading just a few hours ago. the link opened a page asking me to secure my data basically wanting me to upload all my photos to their servers. I have screenshots. this is an attempt to hack devices. I will be filing a formal complaint to get this app removed permanently to prevent victims from falling for this straight up black hat style social engineering tactic.

can't sign in to youtube like the ios version. so my Playlist i wantto access it can't. really slow start up. I have to close it twice to get it off the load screen
