About this app

The RfR-app is a biofeedback tool designed to work alongside Reflective Exercise (RE), a mind-body practice introduced in the book Autonomic Intelligence: Pathway to the Pulsatile Self and Sustainable Health and the video Reflective Exercise in 8 Sessions: Discovering and Cultivating the Pulsatile Self. Both are available at pulsatileinternational.com.
The app measures the low-to-high heart rate variability (LF/HF HRV) ratio using the device's rear camera and flash to record a photoplethysmogram (PPG). Data is processed and displayed in real time, and session records are stored locally on the device for later review. No personal information, device ID, or data is shared with any third party.
The RfR-app is intended as a personal measurement and tracking tool for use by practitioners of Reflective Exercise. It is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any health condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding any medical concerns.
