Crunches, situps, and traditional core exercise only work out abdominal muscles. While there is nothing wrong with these workouts, they aren’t the most exciting or efficient core routines you can mix into your daily routine. It was a toss up between these guys and the Stealth Fitness board; I was leaning towards the Pure Plank but I first wanted to check out the app to see what it had to offer before i forked over $150 for the board. Yes, there's good demonstrations of the exercises and the model they used looks amazing. However, there's no follow-along workouts, so other than maybe using the app as a repository for different plank exercises for ideas to build your own workout, it's all pretty disappointing.

This app has the potential to be a great resource if you have the Pure Plank system, however, it is incredibly buggy and needs drastic improvements. While trying to use the post-partum workout, if you hit "start workout" it will walk you through the first plank but then stop. If you hit start workout again, it will start over and never move on to the next workout. If you just hit the play button, it won't record your workout in the app where it shows you your overall time spent workout out.

The device is great, but unfortunately, the app is borderline unusable currently. It will show you how to do each exercise and suggest how many reps to do, but there are far too many bugs and issues when using it that it cannot be relied upon to accurately track what you are doing. The user interface is very basic, yet not organized conveniently for beginners. Reps and rests are not accounted for, and it is possible to get soft locked out of exercises you want to do. Hopefully it will improve.
