This app resolves the gripes i had with my oneplus 13 for auto brightness. The phones built in auto brightness is very aggressive but with this app i can set ceilings for various conditions. i liked the base version enough to buy the full version of app which gives more granular control. The base version itself is ad free and works very well. Exactly what i was looking for to have more control over screen brightness

Good app to tame the phone's auto brightness. Permission used by the app is minimal and the app is lightweight.Anyone who has weird auto brightness in their phone must use it. feature request: please do another brightness slider for very dark room ( 0 lux) else it hurts our eyes in a completely dark room. Normally, I keep the brightness of 30 which is fine for room or lighted room but when the room is completely dark this app doesn't go lower than 30 which hurts my eyes.

Hello! "Night" is just the lowest brightness level. Set the "Night" slider to your minimum for a dark room (e.g., 2-5%), and use the "Indoor" slider for your lighted room (30%). The app will smoothly dim between them. In Hybrid mode, you can also change the brightness thresholds within a wide range to which the brightness levels are tied.

This is a lifesaver for my new Motorola Signature, which annoyingly sets very low brightness in dim to dark conditions, and there is no way for the auto-brightness algorithm to learn the minimum value I want! This little app lets me do exactly that, so it never falls below the threshold I need. One little suggestion for improvement I have is to be able to set the LUX values for the low-mid-high levels by user, so it is even more fine-tuneable to adapt for different phone sensors LUX readings.
