About this app

Hexlitix MobileLite puts your Hexlitix platform in your pocket, so field teams can see where their assets are, how they are performing and what they are recording without going back to a desk.

REQUIRES AN ACCOUNT

This app connects to your organisation's own Hexlitix server. It is a companion to an existing Hexlitix deployment, not a standalone product, and it cannot be used without a server to sign in to. If you are not sure whether your organisation runs Hexlitix, please check with your system administrator before installing.

ASSETS AT A GLANCE

Browse every asset your permissions allow, then open one for its full current picture: identifier, device type, last known location, time of the last GPS fix, last connection, speed, heading and battery level. If something has gone quiet, you will see it straight away.

LIVE MAP

Follow your assets on a live map that updates as new positions arrive. Positions are colour coded by age using thresholds you set yourself, so current and stale information never look the same. Older fixes can be faded or greyed out, keeping your attention on what is happening now. A locate button recentres the map on you when you need your own bearings.

MEDIA AND VIDEO

Browse the media collections available to you, complete with thumbnails, and open one to watch video streamed from your Hexlitix server. Useful when you need to confirm what a camera is seeing before you act on it.

BUILT FOR THE FIELD

A dark, high contrast interface designed to stay readable outdoors and on the move, with simple bottom navigation between Assets, Map, Media and Settings. The app remembers where you were and reconnects on its own when your signal comes back or you return to it.

YOUR SETTINGS

Choose your speed unit and tune the freshness and staleness thresholds behind the time colouring. Review a diagnostic log of connection and authentication activity when you need to explain something to your administrator. Clear local data or sign out at any time.

SECURITY AND ACCESS

You sign in against your own Hexlitix server with your normal credentials, backed by two factor authentication where your account requires it. You only ever see the assets and media your permissions allow, and your administrator can revoke a session centrally at any time.

LOCATION

The location permission is used for one thing only: the "show my location" button on the map, so it can recentre on where you are. Your position is not recorded and is not sent to the server.

WHAT YOU NEED

- A Hexlitix server your device can reach, on your organisation's network or over VPN
- A Hexlitix account with mobile access enabled
- Android 7.0 or later
