DriveMeter – GPS speedometer & logbook turns your Android phone into a modern GPS speedometer, trip tracker and digital logbook. Measure your current speed, distance, travel time, average speed, maximum speed, altitude, direction and GPS accuracy in real time – without an OBD2 adapter.

Use the app in portrait or landscape mode and choose between analog and digital speedometer views. The clean dashboard is designed for quick reading while driving, cycling, riding a motorcycle, travelling by train or using a boat. Select km/h, mph or knots and set a personal speed limit with sound, voice and vibration warnings.

Start, pause and stop trips manually, or use automatic trip detection where supported. DriveMeter records your route, movement time, stop time, distance, average speed, maximum speed and additional trip statistics. Saved trips can be organized as private or business journeys, searched, filtered and enhanced with notes and categories.

Create vehicle profiles for cars, motorcycles, bicycles, e-bikes, boats and more. Store a vehicle name, type, license plate, odometer, display color, individual speed limit and gauge maximum. Pro unlocks unlimited additional vehicle profiles and advanced customization.

The map view can display your current position and recorded route. Depending on your settings, already loaded map areas can be cached for later use. You can save parking locations, add route markers and share your current location through Android’s share menu when you choose to do so.

DriveMeter also includes a detailed statistics area with total distance, today’s distance, number of trips, duration, moving time, average speed and driving score. Private and business distances are shown separately, making the app useful as a personal trip diary or supporting tool for a business logbook.

Use the Driver & Vehicle Center to manage maintenance reminders, fuel or charging costs, driver profiles, favorite routes, parking information, backups and other vehicle-related data. Export selected data as PDF, CSV, GPX or image files where available.

Your privacy stays in your hands. Trips, routes, vehicles, settings and other app data are stored locally on your device. No account is required. DriveMeter does not automatically upload your driving history to its own server. Optional PIN protection, biometric protection on supported devices and automatic deletion rules help you secure your local information.

Important: GPS quality depends on your device, location and reception conditions. Tunnels, parking garages, tall buildings, power-saving settings and approximate location permission can reduce accuracy. DriveMeter is not a calibrated measuring instrument and does not replace your vehicle’s built-in speedometer. Always follow local traffic laws and drive safely.
