ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE DISCLOSURE
Wirdan uses the Android AccessibilityService API to power its Guardian (App Shield) feature.
• What it does: When you turn on App Shield, Wirdan uses the AccessibilityService API to detect the package name of the app currently in the foreground on your screen. If that app is one you personally chose to block and your focus lock is active, Wirdan shows a full-screen reminder inviting you back to prayer, Qur'an, or dhikr.
• Why it is required: Android provides no narrower API that lets an app reliably detect when a user opens a specific app in order to block it. This is the most limited method available to deliver this feature.
• What it does NOT do: Wirdan never reads the content of your screen, never collects or stores text or personal data, never records audio, and never performs clicks or gestures on your behalf. No data gathered through this service ever leaves your device — everything stays local.
• Your control: This service is entirely optional and Wirdan works without it. You choose which apps to block, and you can disable the service at any time in Android Settings > Accessibility, or by uninstalling the app.
Wirdan is not an accessibility tool for users with disabilities and does not use the IsAccessibilityTool flag.
