***FEATURES***

VOICE SEARCH
Typing takes too long, so Around Me allows you to quickly search for places with your voice. Just tap the microphone button on the homepage, tell Around Me what you're looking for, and Around Me will quickly return matches near you. Simple as that.

PLACE TYPES
Have a certain type of place you're always looking for? Around Me makes it so you only have to type it out once ever by maintaining a list of the place types you care about. You can add, edit, and remove whatever place types you want at any given time. Customize Around Me to best suit your needs!

PLACE VIEW
When you click on a place from the search results, Around Me opens it in a detailed full view so you can get the information you need about it. This page shows photos and reviews of the place alongside buttons to quickly call and share it. If everything looks good, you can see where it is on the map and click on that to start heading there in Google Maps!

EVENTS
Looking for something to do? Around Me can help with that too! Simply tap on the calendar icon on the homepage, and Around Me will search for events near you! Around Me tells you the address, start time, end time, and cost of each event alongside the number of people who are interested or attending. Around Me also provides buttons to start navigating to the event via your favorite map/transportation app, add it to your calendar, share it, and purchase tickets for it.

FAVORITES
Found a place or event that you really like or want to save for later? Click the heart in the top left of any place or event view to save it to your favorites! Favorites are split up by places and events, and you can unfavorite anything whenever you want by just clicking the heart again!

list is always empty. units is in miles only. no idea where the data should come from, since it's a one man project. bottom line: too many flaws, completely useless. :( edit: awesome reply, indeed now there's meters there. plus this is open source and free, which is remarkably amazing! but list is still empty (tried it even with maximum 40km reach) and so it's still completely useless. simple fix: change the name and description to reflect the limited database.

After selecting Hotels,a list come up. I then click on one and it flashes and then goes back to the original list. I do not think this is the expected behavior. I did it again and it said something about a crash and see if there is an update or something like that.

This app has endless possibilities. You can customize the categories to anything you wish to locate from Mexican Restaurants to Walmarts to Adult Entertainment. Whatever you are looking for you can search and find. Plus no annoying ads!!!!
