The previous incarnation of the app included irritating advertisements, but they were easy to clear to access the stories. This version is clunky and hard to navigate. It is slow to load, and slow to respond to keyboard commands. When you open the app, instead of loading the breaking news, it opens to a landing page with the livestream as the first "box". I tried turning off all notifications except Breaking News, and I am still receiving Trending stories in notifications.

So the app "was" great.. I had no problems with the app, it "was" my number one news source for local and also national news.. Ever since this new recent update the app fails to load most of the time and when it does it will crash. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra so I know it has no problem handling any apps. I understand things happen and I will change my review back to five star when things get fixed.

Unacceptable!! Woken up by a tornado warning, no alert from wlox, when they finally do go live it keeps cutting to a J ALLEN AUTO AD! WHEN INFORMATION IS DIRE I HAD TO WATCH A J ALLEN AUTO AD 4 TIMES, MISSING CRUCIAL INFORMATION. THIS APP IS GARBAGE EVEN WHEN THERE'S NO SEVERE STORM. IT'S 2026 AND WLOX CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO PLAY A LIVESTREAM.
