My Alarm Panel will turn your phone into a DSC Alarm Panel while on your home network (or remotely, if setup appropriately - more on this below). In order for this App to work, you must have an Envisalink-enabled DSC alarm system. The Envisalink card is a necessity as it allows your DSC alarm to be accessed via the internet.

Once this app is configured to connect to your Envisalink card, the app allows control of your DSC alarm panel. You will be able to arm and disarm your alarm with the press of a button. If you configure your zones through the apps setup page, you can also bypass zones very easily, without the need to memorize the commands you would need to type into a DSC alarm panel. The app does all the heavy lifting.

In addition, the app allows real-time access to the alarm panel status, including armed/disarmed status, as well as which zones are currently open.

With respect to remotely accessing your alarm panel, as the Envisalink card does not provide any security, it is not recommended you allow access outside your home. For those of you who are tech savvy and know how to set up a VPN server (such as OpenVPN) on your home network, you can access your alarm panel in a secure way via this app once connected to your homes VPN server.
