WHAT YOU GET

• Hourly Forecast - Hour-by-hour temperature and rain probability so you can plan the walk, the BBQ, or the commute with confidence.

• Live Rain Radar - Animated radar covering the whole of Australia with playback controls. See the storm coming before it hits.

• Weather Warnings - Active BOM warnings for your area, colour-coded by severity. Cyclones, severe storms, bushfire risk, flood alerts - the moment the Bureau issues them.

• Smart Location - Use your GPS for instant local weather, or search any Australian suburb, town, or postcode. Works from Perth to Cairns, Darwin to Hobart.

• Works Offline - Recent forecasts and warnings are cached so you still have something useful when the signal drops in the bush.

BetterBom is built by Australians who wanted a weather app that gets out of the way and just shows you the forecast - fast, readable, and gorgeous on every screen size.

DATA SOURCE

All weather data comes directly from the Bureau of Meteorology public API (api.weather.bom.gov.au). Data is Copyright Commonwealth of Australia, Bureau of Meteorology.

PRIVACY

Your location is used only to fetch the local forecast and never leaves your device except as an encrypted query to the BOM. We don't track you, we don't show ads, we don't sell anything. See our privacy policy for the short version and the full details.

PERMISSIONS

• Location (optional) - For "what's the weather here" without typing a postcode. You can always search manually instead.
• Internet - To fetch forecasts, radar imagery, and warnings from the Bureau.
• Network state - To detect when you're offline and serve cached data.
