About this app

Rentward is a private, local-first record keeper for people who own one to ten rental units. It does the one thing every incumbent either paywalls or does badly: it turns a year of rent, expenses and receipt photos into a categorized, receipt-backed packet you hand to your accountant in April - with no account, no bank connection, and no monthly fee.

Rentward Tax Packet is a distinct, higher-value job - producing the artifact your preparer actually needs:

- Multi-year comparison per property, so you spot a missing category before filing.

HONESTY, BY DESIGN.
Rentward organizes the records you enter. It does not tell you what is deductible and it does not prepare a return - your preparer makes those determinations from the entries and receipts you hand over. The packet says so, in the document, next to every total.

Rentward is a record-keeping tool, not tax advice, not a consumer reporting agency, and not a bank. There is no tenant screening, no rent collection, no bank sync, and no lease templates.
