About this app

With the SBK Patient Record app, you can access your electronic patient record (ePA) after a one-time registration.

Your health data is centralized in the ePA. Simply upload documents via the app or have your doctors upload important documents. This gives you a clear overview at all times and allows you to actively manage your health.

As the central repository for your personal health data, the ePA must meet the strictest legal security requirements and undergo a rigorous approval process. Data encryption and a particularly secure access procedure, among other measures, ensure that your data is stored safely.

Many more features are planned for the future, which we will implement in accordance with the guidelines of the German Agency for Telematics in Healthcare (gematik). Use of the ePA is voluntary and free of charge.

FEATURES

With this app you can:
• Upload and manage your medical documents, such as doctor's letters, diagnoses, findings, or medication plans, to a secure storage location
• Have your doctors create and view digital documents, such as vaccination records, children's health booklets, or dental bonus booklets
• Redeem, view, and manage your e-prescriptions using the e-prescription function

• Find the nearest pharmacy directly using the integrated search function

• Get an overview of the services SBK has covered for you in the last six years

• Manage access permissions and representatives

• Securely exchange messages and files containing health data with participating practices and institutions via the TI Messenger

SECURITY

As a statutory health insurance provider, we ensure the best possible protection of your health data. Therefore, you need an SBK health insurance card with a corresponding NFC interface and a securely issued PIN to use this app. You can apply for both during your personal consultation.

To ensure that only you or persons authorized by you have access to your electronic patient record (ePA), we will securely identify you once upon registration. You have several options for this in the app, such as using PostIdent, using your electronic identity card, or visiting an SBK branch and receiving an activation code from us.

REQUIREMENTS
• Exclusively for SBK-insured individuals
• Compatible device with NFC interface
• Android 13 or higher
• No device with a modified operating system
