This is a very good app for building a better vocabulary. You can study these in either alphabetical or random order, and take brief quizzes (multiple choice) ten words per quiz. Some of the words are a little obscure, but most of these are words that can be used for writing papers or having a good conversation. And reading comprehension as well. Also each word can be studied outside of a quiz. A very good vocabulary app. Maybe my best one of these.

Definitely like the app. It's a great way to keep on abreast of words one can often overlook or forget in these times of social media and "text speak". I find the dictionary to be the most eloquent and knowledgeable of any I've used before. I would definitely purchase an ad-less version. UPDATE: I still feel the same! Your upgrade is perfect, and I enjoy the morning challenges! I recommend VB to my friends and have even mentioned it to my therapist as a tool to assist with cognitive issues.

Great app! I even purchases the no-ads and take quizes daily. My only complaint is that when I add custom words that the app doesn't know about (e.g., "Vicariously,") it isn't really added to the app in any meaningful way. I can't favorite my custom words so I can't take a quiz and on a broader scale, it means people can't add words to the app itself that other users will then see. It makes adding custom words all but pointless. Besides that, it's a nice, clean app.
