About this app

Point your camera at a plant or a mushroom and Leafy tells you what it is. Instantly, offline, and entirely on your phone. No signal, no account, no photo ever leaving your device.

WHAT LEAFY CARRIES
Leafy ships a real field library on board, not a thin sample:
• 2,000 plant species
• 1,000 mushroom, fungus and lichen species
• 943 flowers, 733 tree barks and 448 cones as dedicated matching sets
• 1,837 edibility records covering edible, caution and toxic

IDENTIFY IN THE FIELD, WITH NO BARS
• Snap a photo or choose one from your gallery
• Recognition runs on your device, so it works deep in the woods with no cell service
• You get ranked matches with a confidence score, not one blind guess
• Optional location awareness reorders results by what actually grows near you
• Everything you identify is kept in a history you can scroll back through

A PLANT IDENTIFIER THAT ALSO KNOWS FUNGI
Most plant identifier apps stop at leaves and flowers. Leafy runs a separate mushroom and lichen model against the same photo and merges the results, so a photo of something growing on a log gets a real answer instead of a wrong wildflower. The mushroom model is a large optional download you add once from Settings, so the app stays small until you want it.

EDIBILITY FLAGS WHERE SAFETY MATTERS
Poison ivy, pokeweed, yarrow and 1,834 other entries carry a plain edible, caution or toxic flag, so you know when to keep your hands in your pockets.

GOOD FOR
Hikers and backpackers, foragers and mushroom hunters, gardeners working out what came up, teachers and homeschool science, curious kids, trail runners, campers, and anyone who has ever photographed a leaf and then failed to find it in a search engine.

FREE TO IDENTIFY
Identifying plants and mushrooms is free, as many as you like. No trial, no credit limit, no watching an ad to see your result.

LEAFY PRO, A SINGLE PURCHASE
An optional unlock you pay for once and keep. No subscription. Pro adds the detailed write ups behind each match:
• Field guide write ups for the species you identify
• Lookalike comparisons so you can tell close species apart
• Edibility and toxicity safety notes

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Identification happens on your phone. Your photos are not uploaded, your location is not collected, and there is no account to create. If you turn the location prior on, it is used to rank results and nothing else.

SAFETY FIRST
Identifications are estimates produced by a model, not a determination by a botanist or mycologist. Never eat, touch or handle a wild plant or fungus based on this app alone. Always confirm with a qualified local expert. Many edible species have dangerous lookalikes, and some are deadly.

WHAT YOU WON'T FIND
No ads. No subscription. No account. No tracking. Your photos are not sold to train somebody else's model.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Does it work without internet? Yes. Plant and mushroom identification is fully offline once the app is installed. Only the optional local occurrence ranking uses the network.
Do I need to make an account? No. There is no login, no email, and no cloud sync.
Is the mushroom identifier included? Yes, as a large optional model you download once from Settings so the initial install stays small.
Can it identify trees? Yes. Leafy matches leaves, flowers, bark and cones, which is usually how a tree gets named in winter.
Is it safe for foraging? Treat it as a first opinion that narrows the field, never as the final word. Confirm every wild edible with an expert before eating anything.
Free offline plant & mushroom ID, right on your phone. Optional Leafy Pro.
