The recent changes to force people to subscribe are very anti-customer. The app is decent but not without issues. It's nice to get videos of the birds but it often is a video of them leaving and then 45 seconds of the empty feeder. I really want to love the device/app/service but I don't. Watching the birds makes me happy but knowing that I am missing 75% of their visits is frustrating.

Hi Cory, thanks for sharing your experiencešŸ’š We hear your concerns about missed visits and recordings capturing birds leaving — we know that can take away from the experience. The latest update brings more advanced AI to improve identification and detection, and we hope this helps improve the issue. We’ll make sure your feedback reaches our team🐦

Last year was my first year and the app was great. I would get 8-10 postcards daily. I had the premium subscription. this year no subscription and I'm lucky if I get 1 postcard per day. I can visually see the hummers at the feeder 20+ times per day. They say the picture might not be good enough to snap a postcard. or turn on frenzy mode, um there isn't one, I've looked.

Thank you for sharing your feedback šŸ’š We understand your concerns about receiving fewer postcards despite seeing frequent hummingbird activity. You can enable Frenzy Mode in Settings → Power Modes to increase capture frequency. If you're still seeing fewer captures than expected, our support team would be happy to take a closer look 🐦

The app has some issues. I get a notification that birds have been to the feeder and click on it but then it doesn't take me anywhere - the app just stays in a loading state forever. Also, I have a notification about charging the battery that won't clear after the battery is charged. I'm also not sure whether the battery versus solar actually works - The battery runs down faster than I would expect. Great potential but based on the many reviews regarding the app clunkiness, needs some work.

Thank you for your feedback šŸ’š Please make sure you're using the latest app version, clear cache data and try restarting both the app and your Birdbuddy, as this can help resolve loading issues and refresh battery notifications. We value your feedback and we'll share it with our team. If the issues persist, please contact support through the app 🐦
