RØDE Central is an easy-to-use mobile companion app for compatible RØDE microphones that allows you to configure your device settings anywhere, unlock advanced features and processing, access device information, and update to the latest firmware.

Note: To access on-board recordings from the Wireless GO II, you will need to use the desktop version of the RØDE Central app.

Ratings and reviews

The app works well and does what it is supposed to do. The UI is much simpler than what you get with other sound apps. It takes a few minutes to get a hang of it though. The sound quality coming out of my Rode ME is also very pleasing and without lag even when I plug it directly into my old Canon 6D. The reason it works so well is that I put the sound amplification to very low in the camera preamps and compensate for it by raising it in this app. The result is awesome with very low noise!

Almost totally useless. Intended to use this with the Wireless go II. Strangely, you can't connect via Bluetooth so the only way to connect the mic to your phone is a physical usb-c connection. Even once you do get it connected, you can only change 3 settings that you're probably not going to be changing in the field anyway. Can't offload audio files at all.

Yup, it's pretty useless. What's the point of a mobile device if I have to connect via USB for it to DO anything? Rode Central! Allows you to configure your device settings anywhere! NOPE... actually it doesn't. You have to tether and be right next to it... and in the case of a RodeCASTER Pro II, faster to use the mixer's touch screen. Useless app.
