The RØDE Reporter App is the intuitive recording companion you need to easily record and publish broadcast quality audio. It is compatible with all RØDE microphones that have a USB-C interface, including the NT-USB Mini, the VideoMic Me-C and the VideoMic NTG.

Review your recordings in the app, and then easily export or share them natively. Record in either MP3 or WAV recording modes, for maximum flexibility.

Ratings and reviews

needs work The playback from the library stops playing when the app loses focus or the phone screen turns off. It's pretty much impossible to use to review what you just recorded. It needs the ability to continue playback when the app loses focus. And also doesn't work when the playback sources change like headphones are added or turned on. You have to navigate away from the library and then come back to it to get it to play again.

This app records audio with fantastic quality! Unfortunately, you can't get the files off your phone afterwards. The files are hidden so you can't transfer them to your PC, and sharing methods like Google drive just do nothing when you try them. Just use the Dolby recorder app instead, at least you can use the files afterwards.

Useless with Oneplus 8T sadly. Works fine with old 5T, wife's Google Pixel 8a and Samsung Tab 3 when using Rode Wireless Micro kit. For some reason though, the reporter app records nothing but harsh noises with the RWM on the 8T. UPDATE MARCH 2026. I'm now using a Nothing Phone 4a and the blanket distortion is gone, but the recordings play back distorted and at half speed. Still record fine through Shire Motiv app but only in mono. Sigh. Such great kit, such terrible software.
