Rod Frame Beads

About this app

A walnut-and-honey bead frame that teaches you to count, add, take away, multiply and divide one rod at a time.

Rod Frame Beads puts a fully interactive 13-rod bead frame in your hand. Drag or tap the honey beads and they snap to the cream bar with a light haptic tick. One upper bead is worth 5, each of the four lower beads is worth 1, and dots on the bar mark every third rod so large numbers stay easy to read.

GUIDED LESSONS
- 16 guided lessons, from reading numbers to multiplication and division layouts
- The frame is checked after every move against the exact rod state of the step
- Hints name the rod and the rule: direct, five-complement or ten-complement
- Practice mode deals fresh numbers that still exercise the lesson's rule

FLASH DRILL
Numbers appear one at a time. Picture the beads, enter the total and climb the levels. As you improve, levels add more numbers, more speed and more digits.

READ THE BEADS
Hide the numeric readout and practise reading the frame by eye alone.

CALM AND PRIVATE
- Works fully offline - no internet needed
- No ads
- No sound
- Progress saved on your device

Five tabs keep it simple: Abacus, Lessons, Flash, Stats and How. Set a number, follow a step, move a bead - and let the frame teach you how arithmetic really works.
