About this app

Know every corner before you reach it. Rods is your rally co-driver — it reads any road and calls out every turn, hazard, speed bump, speed camera and surface change in real time, on twisty backroads, mountain passes, canyons and touge worldwide.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

HOW IT WORKS
1. Create a route — works anywhere in the world
2. Rods maps every corner, speed bump, speed camera and surface change
3. Drive, and hear voiced pace notes before each turn

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

★ REAL-TIME VOICED CALLOUTS
Every corner is called with severity before you reach it — the direction, how sharp it is, whether it tightens or opens, and the distance to the next. Choose from different car models, voice styles, and more. Adjust callout timing to land exactly when you need it.

★ FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE
• Simple mode (easy, medium, hard) or rally-style numeric severity (1–6)
• Early, standard, or late callout timing
• Metric or imperial units

★ BACKGROUND & IN-CAR
Lock your screen or switch apps — callouts keep playing through Bluetooth, your car stereo or your phone speaker. Mount it, start the drive, put the phone away.

★ CO-DRIVER MODE
Hand the phone to your passenger. Large on-screen pace notes let a human co-driver read the corners ahead while audio stays off.

★ FREE ROAM
No route planned? Free Roam calls corners live as you drive, on any road you pick.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

I cant use it? Each time i try to start the drive it pops up a page that wants to start a subscription, if I go back from it I'm back to where I select a route again. Can't find any "skip for now" button whatsoever. How can I know if I want to subscribe to an app that I haven't even beem able to try? Disappointed. Edit: Yes I know there is a 14 day "trial", but for that you need to register a credit card and it automatically renews unless cancelled, so it's not really a trial.

There is a 14 day free trial to test out Rods and all of its features. Let me know if you have any other questions

Genuinely, don't bother. You can't actually try anything without signing up for the 14 day trial, you can't even test it, you HAVE to commit to a trial, and they straight up tell you, they'll charge you on day 15, with an email at day 7 as a reminder. Id love to know if this would be fun or interesting, but you can't use it. subscription models for this make no sense.

I'm sorry for the frustration. Navigation and route data cost money for every drive, which is why I offer a 14-day free trial so you can test all features first.

I don't have an issue with this being a pay to use service. But an issue with. How it first makes you plan a route. Than prompts you that an account is necessary. Makes you plan the route again. And only after that shows the paywall. Like come on. The paywall should be the first thing you see when opening the app. It being paid isn't the issue. But just be upfront about it.

Hi Ibe, I get it and changed to make it upfront and easy for you to exit the paywall. You know longer need to create an account before the paywall. The issue where it asks you to make a route again is over. Would love for you to have another ago and if there is anything else I could improve, please do let me know at tadas@driverods.com
