About this app

The app (MyMindSync) is intended to maintain a daily record of the mood, sleep and other parameters that are usually affected in individuals with depressive illness. It can be used by English or Hindi-reading individuals.
The user can enter data in the app twice a day – once in the morning just after waking and once at night just before bed/sleep. It can be entered in either English or Hindi.
The first time the user uses the app, a few questions about themselves are to be entered for the app to be registered in the user’s name. These details will never be asked again on using the app on the same mobile.
The user also will be required to “allow” for providing access to the photos, media and files on the user's mobile device. This will be asked only once after opening the app for the first time.
There will be 4 questions that the user can enter in the app in the morning after awakening –
- Mood (5 emojis: from very happy to very sad)
- Sleep (5 emojis: from very less refreshing to very much refreshing)
- Dream (no dream, had dreams but do not remember, bad dreams, both good and bad dreams, neutral dreams, good dreams)
- Energy state (5 emojis: from very less to very much)
In the evening before going to sleep the user can enter answers to 4 questions on –
- Mood throughout the day (5 emojis: from very happy to very sad)
- Physical activity (much less than usual, less than usual, usual, more than usual, much more than usual)
- Medicine taken (yes/no)
- Social activity (much less than usual, less than usual, usual, more than usual, much more than usual)
After selecting the choices for the questions, the user needs to press the “Submit” button to enter the data in the mobile.
The entire daily data will remain in the user's mobile and can be downloaded as an Excel file by pressing the “sharing icon” in the app. The Excel file will be downloaded to the “Download” folder under the “Internal Storage” folder of the user's mobile.
