Roof pitch calculator is mobile and accurate, fast and offers an abundance of features, makes life easier for everyone involved in a project for building a roof.

Shed Roof - or a lean-to roof, have slopes in one direction only. Sometimes used for an addition to an existing structure (being attached to the side of the structure or to the roof)

Gable Roof - has two sloping sides that meet at the top to form a gable at each end. The gable roof is the most common type of roof.

Hip Roof - has slopes at the end of the building as well as at the two sides.

You can calculate:
- All dimensions of common rafter in centimeters, millimeters or inches (including fractions).
- All angles including the bird-mouth seat and heel.
- All dimensions for the rafter, jack, ridge and hip.

This app is phenomenal if you want to build a roof. It calculates the rafters and gable dimensions and number you need and shows views of the pieces you will need to cut. Am super impressed with the bird cut in the rafters, dimensioned out. The app also provides a view of the roof in plan and elevation with dimensions. Just needs a few building dimensions to start. Information on all terminology is easy to access and enables more complex roof features to be incorporated. Great app!

Very easy app to use clear and concise. One addition could be a provision for the over hang on the gable ends and eves to be different, as roofs are not always necessarily the same on both sides/ends. Example of this is, a single story extension on an existing two story house, the roof would be butting the original house and wouldn't require over hang at that point but may require it at the other end. The same would apply for hipped roofs. Other than that it's a brilliant app.

General contractor. it would be ideal to add the lumber or cladding material list. But in general a very simple yet handy software. plus plus
