Welcome to NatWest Rooster Money–a pocket money manager, piggy bank, reward chart, savings tracker & chores app–made to help families teach kids about money & savings goals. We also have a prepaid Visa debit card for kids that lets parents raise their youngsters to be money-wise.

With our allowance & kids money saving app, parents help children on their first steps towards understanding the value of money with a piggy bank–saving money–through to their first real-world purchases. Start with our reward chart, move them onto managing their own cash, earning with our chores & savings app, before trying a Rooster Card–a prepaid debit card for kids.

Parents can track pocket money, manage savings, create goals, set controls, add limits & enable their child to make real transactions online & in store.

Rooster Money is free to download. For UK customers with children over 6 years old, we offer the Rooster Card, a prepaid Visa debit card which links to the family’s Rooster Money account. This provides all the features of the Rooster Money App with the ability to use real money for £1.99/mo or £19.99/yr.

Ratings and reviews

So far, so good. Using the paid version and have it set up for 4 kids. The "regulars" are good for my 16 y.o., who has phone, car insurance, etc. For the younger ones, it's just good motivation and a teaching tool. I contacted the developer with a question and suggestion, and got a response right away. *Update* My younger kids are learning so much about finances with this app. We homeschool, and I can't imagine anything better to teach the kids about earning, saving, and spending.

I like some of the features of this app. I use it for the chore tracker. I am disappointed that I cannot see chores done the previous week and cannot edit them after the close of the week. I also need more flexibility on when to schedule a chore, such as scheduling every other day. This is the best chore tracker I have found so far but still needs many improvements to function easier.

I fell in love with this app, right at my very first customer service experience. So friendly (Jordan). Also the reply within a short time frame impressed me as well. I reached out for rotating chores, which they are considering along with other upgrades (can't wait to see what is in store for this app in the future 😁) but for now, rotating chores is a priority in my chore assignments so I had to unsubscribe, however it is easy to use. Cheap, if you choose to pay yearly. Plus 30 day trial!
