The frog waits on its lily pad and one of the pads ahead lights up. Tap it and the frog hops, a clean little jump that lands exactly where you meant — one point. Tap the wrong pad, or tap too late and watch it splash, and a life's gone, three total. It starts generous, big pads with room to think, then the pads shrink and start shuffling between hops, and you're deciding mid-air where to land. There's a small joy in a perfect hop, the frog barely moving its body, and a specific sting when you were sure and still missed. The pond gets meaner. The frog never complains.
