About this game

Scrib is a minimalist word guessing puzzle game built around one clean mechanic: read the definition, fill in the missing letters.

No multiple choice. No hints. No autocomplete. Just your vocabulary and your memory.

How it works
Each round gives you a word type (noun, verb, adjective…) and its definition, with some letters already placed. Type the remaining ones — one box at a time — from memory alone. No keyboard suggestions allowed.

Three ways to play
Blitz — Keep guessing words until your skips run out. How far can you go?
Timed — One minute on the clock. How many words can you get right?
Relax — Infinite skips, no pressure, no losing. Just you and the words.

Three difficulty levels
Easy (7 skips) · Medium (5 skips) · Hard (3 skips)
The fewer skips you have, the harder you fight for every word.

Local leaderboard
Every score is saved on your device. Filter by mode and difficulty to track your personal bests and keep pushing yourself.

Haptic feedback throughout
Every key tap, correct guess, skip, and new word triggers a carefully tuned vibration — keeping you physically engaged without breaking your focus.

Beautifully minimal design
Pure white background. Clean, modern typography. Nothing to distract you from the words.

Completely private and offline
No ads. No accounts. No internet required. No personal data collected or shared. Your scores stay on your device.

Word list sourced from Webster's Unabridged Dictionary (Public Domain), filtered and curated for quality gameplay.
